Australians Teaching ICT in London
We are looking for good, qualified, ICT teachers with experience of working within the UK or similar education system.
Information & Communications Technology teachers impart the ability to use tools appropriately to control situations in which information is processed and communicated. Processing and communicating information lie at the heart of teaching ICT in secondary schools, suggesting that ICT capability should be central to an effective modern secondary education.
If you are a Secondary ICT Teacher and you are working in or want to work in the London area please send us your CV or browse the jobs section for more information. Your CV is your only marketing tool. We find CV's with the following attributes are the most succesful at finding jobs.
- Your most recent ICT teaching experience should be at the top of your CV - if schools see you as inexperienced then they will not want to part with as much money for your services - so you get paid less!
- Your CV should be brief and to the point and designed to show your best points quickly. Two pages maximum please.
- For each job use bullet points to highlight at least 3 extra special aspects of your performance in the role e.g extra help you gave the Head of Department writing a scheme of work, or attending a course on 'improving performance in afro-caribbean boys'.
- Keep extra curricular activities to a minimum unless relevant to education or very, very impressive (Olympic swimming Bronze or above).
