Teaching Secondary Art & Design
We are looking for excellent Art & Design teachers with experience working within the UK or similar education system. Art & Design is not a demand area so experience is essential if you want to work supply.
We think an Art & Design teacher should explore the knowledge, skills and understanding that Art & Design offers young people in the context of secondary education. An Art & Design teacher should be confident, dynamic, creative and committed to making Art & Design accessible for all. Expertise in areas such as ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, mixed-media and digital media is essential. We believe Art & Design has a significant and developing place in education and needs inspirational teachers to take it forward.

- Your most recent Art & Design teaching experience should be at the top of your CV - if schools see you as inexperienced then they will not want to part with as much money for your services - so you get paid less!
- Your CV should be brief and to the point and designed to show your best points quickly. Two pages maximum please.
- For each job use bullet points to highlight at least 3 extra special aspects of your performance in the role e.g extra help you gave the Head of Department writing a scheme of work, or attending a course on 'improving performance in afro-caribbean boys'.
- Keep extra curricular activities to a minimum unless relevant to education or very, very impressive (Olympic swimming Bronze or above).
