is a boys' comprehensive school, located in West Wimbledon. We draw pupils from across the borough and from several adjoining boroughs. Our target number is 240 in each year group, and we currently have 1050 students on roll, with our Year Seven entry cohort now consistently oversubscribed.
We are a multi-cultural school, drawing pupils with a wide range of skills and needs. Our progress centre ensures that all our support efforts are clearly focused on raising achievement of all our students, and we work closely with our local colleges and support agencies to ensure we provide relevant and coherent opportunities for all boys.
We have recently moved into a large new teaching block, and refurbished all our existing accommodation. The £9million scheme is being funded through the PFI (private finance initiative) route .
To take full advantage of the building programme we sought and obtained Specialist Status as a Maths and Computing College. This will allow us to expand on our current strengths by enabling all our departments to broaden their use of ICT as they seek to achieve the challenging goals we have set ourselves. The school has a recognized strength in Maths. All our departments are well led and all are contributing equally to our rapidly raising standards of achievement.
The next few years are set to be both exciting and challenging for the school, and we are looking for new staff to join us who place raising boys' achievement at the heart of their educational aspirations.
