aims:

  • To place Christ at the centre of all its activities and experiences
  • To offer to its members the opportunity to understand and to grow in their faith and to develop their spirituality through reflective worship and study
  • To create a community in which mutual love and respect are embraced by all
  • To educate in an atmosphere where learning is stimulating, enjoyable and valued, so fostering a lifelong love of learning and an aspiration towards academic excellence
  • To ensure that students receive a rounded educational experience which will enable them to go out, as confident young adults, into further or higher education and the world of work with the values and experiences they need to make a positive contribution to society – caring for others, respecting their environment and bearing witness to God's love
  • To provide for all members of the community openings for personal fulfilment through the nurturing of their talents and the opportunity to reach their full potential
  • To give to the students in our care a pride in themselves as women of the future, celebrating their background, abilities and ethnicity, so that they will be able to live their lives, make choices and take opportunities with wisdom and compassion

‘Love of learning and personal fulfilment in a Catholic community'

The school is under the patronage of St. Catherine of Siena. She is a role model for our students, in that she used her spiritual strength to support her work in the world as carer, communicator, diplomat, peacemaker and writer. Above all, she had a highly developed prayer-life. This balance between spiritual and social development is what we aim to give our students.
