Organisation
Pupils are grouped into six tutor groups on entry and these are reviewed after one year. Teaching in Years 7 – 9 is mainly in these class groups. Smaller groups operate in the arts and technology with setting in Maths only. In Years 10 and 11 pupils are taught in ability and option groups for all their subjects. Each tutor group is attached to a House, which forms the basis for extensive competitions during each year.
