Lampton School

Nearest underground station: Hounslow

is a mixed, multi-cultural, 11 to 18, comprehensive secondary school with 1,350 pupils on roll. We border the A4 in central Hounslow, west London. Our ethnic mix reflects the local suburban community. The majority of our pupils come from four world religions: Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism. We take great pride in our reputation for mutual respect and tolerance for all.

Lampton School became a designated “Humanities” Specialist school at the start of September 2004. Our specialist subjects are English & Media, History and Religious Studies. Geography will also be involved in parts of this programme.

Our curriculum and learning model celebrates diversity and prepares students to become active, global citizens through increased oracy and literacy, critical questioning, a high level of analysis and the provision of extensive enrichment activities.

Our extensive range of extra-curricular activities was enhanced June 2005 with the opening of our new Sports Centre. This has a four-badminton court Sports Hall and a 150 sq metre Fitness Gymnasium plus associated changing rooms and storage. This facility has been part funded by the New Opportunities Fund and provides facilities for the local community in the evenings, at weekends and during school holidays.
