Flexibility for you and us

If you haven't got concrete plans for your working and living arrangements yet, don't worry, you may find this will actually work in your favour in the UK.

Location: In some ways the UK is very small. Mostly in the sense of, look at it, it's really small.

However that doesn't necessarily mean you fancy trekking all the way across it for work each day. teachweb service schools throughout London and all the surrounding counties so while we will have schools in your area, the more areas you're happy to work in the more choice you'll have.

Availability: We fully understand that you are on a working holiday, emphasis on HOLIDAY, and that your plans may be a bit up in the air.

That's fine. Keep us in the loop and we'll work around it. However it's worth noting that thanks to the UK's three term school year, you'll never work more than seven weeks without getting time off. Thirteen weeks off a year, goodness teachers have it tough.

Schools: The eclectic nature of the UK is directly reflected in it's schools.

There are schools here of every size, style and methodology all of whom would be lucky to have you work with them. Some teachers prefer a dynamic environment with sparky kids, some prefer students who will set themselves high academic targets. Most of us just want to work in a nice school with nice kids.

Subject: Australian trained teachers are very popular over here. Naturally, we're wonderful.

 We're admired for our classroom management but also because of the range of subjects we are able to teach. Don't feel you need to limit yourself to one subject when teaaching, if you have a minor or specialism, or experience in other subjects, big it up. The more you have to offer schools the more they'll offer you in return.
